On March 17, 2015, a $10 million settlement was approved by the Miami-Dade Commissioners for a whistleblower lawsuit filed by a Miami-Dade County transit official. Fischer Legal Group’s predecessor firm represented a former county transit official, who blew the whistle in 2010 when the whistleblower was fired after reporting objections to mishandled transportation grants.
